When I created Dotter, it wasn’t just to open another beauty store — it was a deeply personal decision shaped by my health, my values, and a growing passion for clean, honest skincare.
A New Beginning After a Difficult Time
In 2020, after having Covid-19, my health changed in unexpected ways. I struggled with fatigue, inflammation, and noticeable hair loss. My hair became thinner, weaker, and far more fragile than before. It was frustrating, emotional, and often overwhelming — especially because very few products truly helped.
At the same time, I became more aware of what I was putting on my skin and hair. I wanted formulas that were gentle, transparent, natural, and effective…without endless routines or complicated steps.
Where Scandinavian Beauty Entered My Life
I discovered Scandinavian products and brands during our travels through the Nordics with Chiara.
Everywhere we went I saw the same philosophy reflected over and over again: simple formulas, clean ingredients, and nature-driven solutions that respected both the skin and the environment.
This came into my life at the perfect moment, right when I was searching for more balance and simplicity. The Scandinavian approach to beauty immediately resonated with me.
A Beauty Philosophy That Felt Right
What drew me in most was how Scandinavian beauty focuses on quality over quantity:
- Clean, minimal ingredients
- Nature as inspiration
- Fewer steps, yet proven results
- Calm and uncomplicated rituals
There was no pressure to use ten products a day. Instead, everything was designed to support the skin’s natural functions — gently, effectively, and with purpose.
For my post-Covid hair and scalp concerns, these products made a noticeable difference, especially with strength, growth, and overall balance.
Why Dotter Exists
Dotter is born from everything I wished I had found earlier:
- Products you can trust
- Ingredients you can read and understand
- Skincare and haircare that work — without overwhelming routines
- A philosophy that values clarity, simplicity, and real results
I wanted to create a space where people could find high-quality Scandinavian brands — and feel understood if they, too, have struggled with sensitivity, hair issues, or health-related changes.
A Passion That Became a Mission
What began as a personal journey has become the heart of my business. Dotter is more than a store — it’s a reflection of what I believe in:
- Beauty should be simple
- Ingredients should be clean
- And products should genuinely support your well-being
If my experience can help someone else find confidence, relief, or even a bit of calm, then Dotter is already fulfilling its purpose.
