A personal journey from sensitivity to simplicity. Henua Organics was founded in Finland in 2017 by sisters Jenni Tuominen and Anu Kohtamäki, who shared a vision of redefining Nordic skincare through purity and purpose. 

After over 15 years in the cosmetics industry, Jenni began experiencing skin sensitivity caused by synthetic ingredients in everyday products. What was once a source of joy became a struggle to find formulations that were truly gentle and effective. Determined to change that, she immersed herself in the study of organic skincare, discovering that nature’s own ingredients could restore balance and radiance to the skin.

Inspired by heritage and Finnish nature. Growing up surrounded by Finland’s pristine forests and lakes, the sisters had always felt a deep connection to nature. They remembered their grandmother gathering berries and herbs — timeless rituals of self-care rooted in the Nordic way of life. From this heritage grew the idea for Henua: skincare that celebrates simplicity, integrity, and the quiet luxury of natural living.
